New Restaurants in Savannah

There are a handful of new restaurants in Savannah this year that we are excited to tell you about.  The restaurants keep coming and the food in Savannah just keeps getting better.  These four restaurants are all downtown in or near Savannah’s historic district.

The Vault Kitchen & Market – A renovated local banking institution turned into an industrial chic eatery.  Happy Vault Kitchen customers have said, “From the moment you drive up to this restaurant you know that it is Different. The attention to detail and preservation of this transformed bank, into a restaurant is perfect. The bar, viewing of food being cooked to order, via tellers “windows” and even the restrooms are unique. The variety of food offering is amazing and it is difficult to choose.” From TripAdvisor. Try their sushi or Deposit Box Duck Tacos – BBQ duck, cabbage, picked carrots & daikon, chipotle sauce, sesame seeds, & cilantro.  The Vault quickly became a local favorite of the new restaurants in Savannah.

Hitch – Built on the motto, “Quality over Quantity”, Hitch is a beautiful space that offer a fun and unique food/cocktail/beer menu day and night. Hitch lovers say, “Delicious, non-traditional eats! Great for a snack or lunch. The chicken/apple sliders and chips was a fabulous lunch. Many options and not the ‘typical’ eatery. From TripAdvisor. Try their Low Country Boil – Fingerling potatoes, corn on the cob, andouille sausage, and shrimp all tossed in a creamy butter sauce.

Savannah Tap House – Located in a space on Brought Street that was a theater built in the 40’s, Savannah Tap House is a different kind of restaurant-going experience. A huge selection of beer, an upscale sports bar atmosphere, and a menu that will blow you away. People say, “This dining experience was amazing. From the first bite to the last, the food was exceptional. The staff is friendly, courteous, and engaging. We highly recommend eating here. You will not be disappointed.” From Trip Advisor. Dig into their Build Your Own Salad Menu or try Sweet Tea Fried Chicken – Two chicken breasts, marinated in sweet tea and spices. Deep-fried and covered in a sweet tea reduction.

The Ordinary Pub – Inspired by the beautiful city and the people of Savannah, The Ordinary Pub encompasses passion for art, service, food, and craft. Pairing classic favorites with modern twists, our menu features creations inspired by California, the Mid-West, and, of course, our home here in the Low Country. Review from TripAdvisor says, “We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had and our service was awesome! We had the chicken wings, tomato basil soup, ordinary salad, and the New York Strip. It was all cooked to perfection and the staff made our visit so memorable. They were great so the atmosphere was terrific!” For brunch, try Ordie Benedict – toasted Pub biscuit, poached eggs, stone grits, shredded pork belly topped with a beet hollandaise sauce with a side of fruit.
