What’s Brewing In Savannah?

Craft beer breweries have charged onto the American cultural landscape over the past few years and Savannah is home to a handful of the best.  Local breweries are crafting unique and delicious goodness right here in Savannah.  A few even offer a complete experience with tours of the breweries and tastings.  Don’t miss these top three breweries in Savannah.

Service Brewing Company – Service Brewing focuses their brewing on high quality local ingredients.  While brewing large scale beers year round, they are constantly developing experimental craft beers to release seasonally.  Stop by on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday afternoon for a tour and tasting.  You can even bring your dog!  Try their Compass Rose IPA…….delish.

Southbound Brewing Company – Southbound Brewing caters to the southern taste bud with Savannah’s first micro-brewery.  Tours of the brewery run every Wednesday – Friday at 5:00.   Other Southbound events include Pints & Poses Yoga in the afternoon and live music at night.   We love their Belgian Wit Skattered Sun for a refreshing light beer.

Moon River Brewing Company – Located in the midst of the action of the historic district, Moon River Brewing is the only brewery with a full restaurant and has been voted one of America’s top brewpub’s by BeerAdvocate.com.  Their brew Rosemary India Pale Ale won a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival.  A former hotel, Moon River Brewing is one of Savannah’s most well-known haunted sites!  Stop by for a pint of their brew Slow-vannah.
