If you have been a guest of our inn, you know we support local, fresh and seasonal products whenever we can – whether its produce from our own gardens or fresh-selected at the Farmers Market in Forsyth Park every Saturday, from Georgia wild shrimp to artisan cheeses, we seek it out. Holiday shopping is definitely seasonal and surely at its best in Historic Downtown Savannah, Georgia during the Inaugural Savannah Pajama Shop Hop – the brainchild of Savannah Inns and yours truly. We championed a month-long event that offers our guests an opportunity to purchase unique holiday gifts which will never see the light of day in a commercial shopping mall, and all from the playful comfort of your Pajamas! Yes indeed, your PJs, your jams, your nightgown, your nightshirt, your robe, your smoking jacket, your fluffy bunny rabbit slippers … in exchange for a discount on your purchases from over 70 downtown merchants, shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars, tours and more!

Savannah GA Bed and Breakfast Honors Veterans
November 11th, 2011 by Teresa
Last night this Savannah GA bed and breakfast joined three other local inns to host a reception to honor Veterans. Our second year participating in the B&B For Vets initiative brought us, if possible, even more poignant moments than the year before. Azalea Inn and Gardens was honored to host three Purple Heart recipients from our local Wounded Warriors stationed at Fort Stewart as well as another six active duty and retired veterans from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, as well as their spouses and the 9-year-old son of one of our Purple Heart recipients and the infant daughter of my “other son.”
