You don’t have to be in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre or behind the gold cord at the Oscars to lay claim to a “star” sighting. You merely need to be in Savannah for the 15th Annual Savannah Film Festival which starts tomorrow, October 27, 2012. Actors Matt Dillon, Diane Lane and John Goodman will receive the Outstanding Achievement in Cinema award while actress Michelle Monaghan and director John Gatins will each receive the Spotlight Award. Filmmaker Geoffrey Fletcher (winner of the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for “Precious”) will receive the Savannah College of Art and Design Cinevation Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Stan Lee (Spiderman, the Avengers, the X-Men and hundreds of others).
Book your room today at Azalea Inn and Gardens. There is so much more to this festival you won’t want to miss a moment. For more information, please visit www.filmfest.scad.edu/tickets.
