Fall Festivals in Savannah present music, food, art and international culture for all to enjoy.
September 18 – 24 – 35th Annual Savannah Jazz Festival
Just steps from Azalea Inn in Forsyth Park, the Savannah Jazz Festival celebrates jazz as a living art form and offers all types of jazz, from traditional swing, Dixieland, straight‑ahead and bop to melodic standards and funky down‑home blues. The festival boasts the best in international, national, regional and local jazz talent. This festival is free, open to the public, and always one of our favorite fall festivals in Savannah. September 24 – Festival Latina
The 10th Annual Fiesta Latina is held on River Street at Rousakis Plaza. Fiesta Latina is filled with street booths and vendors selling delicious Hispanic food, arts and crafts and educational information. There will even be dancers and live bands celebrating Latino genres and cultural sounds.
October 6 – 8 – Tybee Island Pirate Festival
Creaking planks, wind blowing the sails and the chants of pirates fill the Tybee air during the Tybee Island Pirate Festival. Visitors and locals alike can celebrate the days of yore as Tybee Island turns into a pirate village!
October 6 – 8 – 66th Annual Savannah Greek Festival
With 66 years of tradition and good memories to build on, this event will be better than last years. The annual festival will feature homemade greek foods, desserts, greek dancing, church tours, market place, a live band and so much more during the three-day celebration of Greek food, music and heritage.
October 7 – October Fest on River Street
It’s a Wiener Dog Racing, Bratwurst Tasting, Oompah Dancing celebration at the 33rd Annual Oktoberfest on Historic River Street! Enjoy a bit of Germany…Savannah style with a beer garden and food booths featuring German cuisine.
October 22 – 29 – The Savannah Film Festival
Featuring the best in independent and innovative film from around the world. Hosted by SCAD, the annual festival presents a full range of cinematic creativity from professionals and emerging student filmmakers.
October 21 & 22 – Fall Garden Festival Coastal Botanical Gardens
Celebrate the end of the hot Southern summer by focusing on garden-related projects, themes and plants at Autumn Gardenfest.
October 22 – The Isle of Hope Art & Music Festival
The largest local art festival in Savannah with over 90 of Savannah’s most talented artists lined up along Savannah’s iconic Bluff Drive on Isle of Hope. Several of Savannah’s best local musicians and bands play throughout the day and into the evening.
October 22 – Savannah Pride Festival
A weekend long series of events that celebrate the diversity of the LGBT family in Savannah and the Coastal Empire. Held steps away from Azalea Inn in Forsyth Park, the festival includes live music and performances, the Savannah Pride Marketplace with food vendors, artisans and other purveyors along with local community organizations and businesses.
October 30 – Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival
Another fantastic festival held right down the street from Azalea Inn in Forsyth Park. Voted Savannah’s Best Food festival for years, the Jewish Food Festival features authentic Jewish cuisine like homemade blintzes, challah bread, noodle kugel, sizzling shephardic lamb, stuffed lamb, and kosher desserts.
November 5 – Hopped Up On Georgia Brews
The 3rd Annual Hopped up on Georgia Brews craft beer tasting will take place along the Savannah riverfront and feature offerings from over 20 Georgia Breweries.
November 7 – 13 – The Savannah Food & Wine Festival
Just in it’s 3rd year, the Savannah Food & Wine instantly became one of the most popular fall festivals in Savannah. The festival brings together local and national culinary talent, international winemakers, wineries, celebrity chefs and authors, beverage experts and more. A week-long celebration of wine dinners, one-of-a-kind Savannah wine and culinary experiences are located throughout the city’s most scenic and iconic backdrops. Several events take place in Savannah’s beautiful downtown historic district and along the majestic riverfront. The festival offers something to satisfy all taste buds, budgets and palates.
November 12 & 13 – 22nd Annual Telfair Art Fair
Free and open to the public, this open-air art show welcomes 80 artists from across the country and features a stunning array of artistic disciplines, including painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics/pottery, photography, furniture, glass, textiles/fiber, and more.
