Three Music Festivals In Savannah For Spring

Savannah has three fantastic reasons for music lovers to book now for Spring.

Savannah Music Festival – The Savannah Music Festival has been called one of the best events around the world by USA Today and The London Times.   Running from March 24 – April 9, the festival produces concerts by renowned artists in jazz, classical and a wide variety of American and international roots music in 11 intimate venues throughout Savannah’s historic district.   You can find the full line-up of shows and buy tickets now on the Savannah Music Festival website.  Here are a few artists you don’t want to miss.

Marc Broussard

Steve Riley & Mamou Playboy

Blue Highway

Pink Martini featuring China Forbes

Savannah Stopover Festival – What started as an opportunity for bands to stop and play in Savannah on their way to the prestigious SXSW Festival in Austin, TX, the Savannah Stopover Festival has become a chosen destination for regional and national bands and a must see Savannah Music Festival.  80 bands will fill small to mid-size venues across Savannah’s Historic District March 10 -12.  See the Savannah Stopover Festival website for a full list of bands.  Here are a few acts you won’t want to miss:

Future Birds

No BS Brass Band

Tara Feis – The week before Savannah’s legendary St Patrick’s Day celebration, the city kicks off with Tara Feis.   Tara Feis stands out starkly as the family-oriented can’t-miss Irish celebration, saluting authentic Irish heritage and music without the alcohol.  The festival for 2016 will be on Saturday, March 12th in Savannah’s Emmet Park.  One of the most beloved dance and music festivals in Savannah, the event will feature Ciaran Sheehan (Star of Phantom of the Opera) and Cathy Maguire (Star of Ireland in Song).

Azalea Inn and Gardens, a Savannah GA bed and breakfast inn, invites you to reserve a room today to begin enjoying the best experiences in our city, which Travel + Leisure Magazine acclaimed as a “World’s Best City.”
