We wrote last year about Floatilla and this year, we are writing again. WHY? Because Floatilla in 2014 is one of the most fun things we can recommend to our summertime guests. 4+ hours of floating through the ocean currents with hoards of new friends all looking for some fun in the sun. From cost to dates to details, we’re the bed and breakfast that’ll get you into that refreshing Atlantic ocean during Floatilla.
How Much Does Tybee Floatilla Cost?
It breaks down to less than $10/hour and a total cost of $30 for over 4 hours of fun. Every single penny is donated to a deserving charity. Needless to say, we think you’re making the right move if you’re considering Floatilla as part of your summer vacation plans next time you visit Savannah. The best part? Well, other than the huge bargain, the charity changes every time
When Can I Participate in the 2014 Tybee Floatilla?
In each of the months that showcase Savannah’s summertime swelter you have only ONE chance to include Tybee Island Floatilla in your Savannah vacation plans. That’s 3 total chances y’all, and here they are:
- Sunday, June 22 from 11am – 3pm: Floatilla to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
- Sunday, July 20 from 10am – 2 pm: Floatilla to benefit the Tybee Marine Science Center
- Sunday, August 24 from 3pm – 7pm: Floatilla to benefit Fresh Air Home
Ok, I Want to Go to Floatilla. What Other Details Do I Need?
Well, reserve your room first. Once that is settled, go to the Floatilla website and click the big red “Register Now” button. Then, go find your float, deflate that and pack it into your suitcase. Now, sit back, relax and daydream about your upcoming vacation. Beverage optional. Doesn’t that feel good?
