The end of April brings throngs of people to Savannah visiting SCAD for the Sidewalk Arts Festival. Are you going to be lucky enough to be one of those people?
What is SCAD?
SCAD is the Savannah College of Art and Design, one of the top art schools in the country. It is located right in the heart of our city. A lot of the historic buildings in Savannah have been purchased and restored by the educational institution. We love city revitalization that keeps on giving! Our guests at Azalea Inn & Gardens always seem to appreciate the cool artsy vibe that comes along with the art-centric education.
Do You Have to Know Someone at SCAD to Attend the Sidewalk Arts Festival?
The Sidewalk Arts Festival is free and open to the public. During the Sidewalk Arts Festival on April 27 from 11am to 5pm, you will be able to wander through the walkways of Forsyth Park and see the best chalk art that our city’s students can create. Those inspired students just might get you excited about finding and noticing art in unlikely places.
