By Gosh, I think we might have it! Mix 5 great wine finds with 5 perfect matches, shake gently and add 10 enthusiastic wine enthusiasts. Final result: An incredible evening of wine and food, conviviality and fun. Last night was the fourth in our series with the theme “Red Blends Rule” and Lindsay Melton of United Wine Distributors was perfectly prepared to present our wines and comment on our matches.

Lindsay
She was impressed with our matchings exclaiming each one to be nearly perfect. Each month the wine rep sends us the list of wine compatible with match our monthly theme, and we divide the wines amongst us and come up with pairings. The guests, four from Azalea Inn and Gardens, two one from Green Palm and four from Zeigler House seemed to enjoy Lindsay’s commentary and suggestions, busily writing down her suggestions or following her instructions to lift the glass toward the light and note the coloring … one of the “grapes” of venophilia she possesses.
Below are last night’s wines and food pairings. Drool, Dream and Demand to be at the next Third Saturday pairing for “Take Me to Bed Reds” and our wine expert, Lori Mohr of Ultimate Distributors, on October 16, 2010.
